In 1972, visionary Palm Beach residents Winsome and Michael McIntosh establish the Palm Beach County Community Foundation with a $50,000 endowment.
In 1983, the first scholarship fund was established. Today, the Foundation is one of the largest providers of scholarships in the area.
In 2009, the Foundation partners with fundholders, raising $1.3 million to provide critical funds to local nonprofits following the financial crisis.
As of 2019, our Foundation has invested more than $160 million in grants and scholarships to local nonprofits and deserving students.
